New DLC & Bond Mode Revealed for Xenoverse 2 — Future Saga Chapter 3 Drops October 30
Good news for all Time Patrollers. The third chapter of Future Saga DLC is scheduled for release on October 30th 2025 for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. This serves as a continuation of Future Saga. With a fourth chapter already teased as coming in the future.

Which Chapter And What Saga Does This DLC Belong To?
The DLC is a part of the Future Saga section — to be specific, it’s the third chapter, with the fourth chapter promised for release later as well.
So it lies within the bigger narrative that Bandai Namco has been rolling out on Xenoverse 2.
What the Tease Reveals – Bond Mode with Broly & Cheelai
The new tease shows that a big change will be made: “bond mode,” or “relationship mode,” with Broly (from Dragon Ball Super) and Cheelai. The player will be able to patrol Conton City alongside them, so that they could essentially bond on a deeper level through interactions and missions.
In the teaser, Broly strolls through places like the Kame House, while Cheelai tags along. The city later turns into a ruined, war-torn version of itself with Freezer ‘s figures hinted in the background — indicating a major antagonist role in this chapter. Entitled “Heart-Pounding Patrol with Cheelai & Broly”. The teaser sets the mood for a closer, more narrative-driven gaming experience.
Why This Matters
- New Storytelling Approach: This DLC is not just about fighting, it also introduces relational mechanics. This means you’ll be with Broly and Cheelai, not just fight alongside them. To fans who care about emotional moments for characters, this enriches the sense of reality.
- Expansion of the Narrative: With this chapter being part in the Future Saga arc, it is bound to extend the history or maybe set up some major conflicts (Freezer hinted at as an ever-threatening threat raises expectations).
- Bridges to Future Content: With Chapter 4 already in the works, Chapter 3 is likely set to gain momentum and provide narrative hooks for later developments.
